Department of Sports Management educates individuals who want to specialize in sports and sports organizations. The department aims to raise innovative sports managers who can think creatively and have the ability to make decisions and cope with problems in sports economy, recreation, sports organizations, sports marketing and sport industry. Sports Management Program gives practical and theoretical sports lessons in the direction of Atatürk’s principles and reforms. In this respect, the program is a contemporary, comprehensive, broad education curriculum that will enable students to recognize sports knowledge, sports philosophy, sociological influence and place of sport. Graduates of the sport management program have the opportunity to find a job in various sports departments such as The Ministry of Youth and Sports, youth sports provincial directorates, federations, sports clubs, tourism sector and private and public organizations. In addition, our students can become Physical Education Teachers by taking pedagogical formation training on condition that providing certain circumstances. There are 159 students (53 female and 106 male) at the sports management program (daytime education) and 137 students (35 female and 102 male) at the sports management program (evening education) in 2017-2018 academic year. The department consists of 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors, 1 lecturer and 1 research assistant.
