Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım, Head of the Department of Data Science and Analytics at our Faculty, was invited to the Artificial Intelligence Summit of Türkiye, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology on June 13, 2026, at Istanbul Tersane, honored by the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
At the summit, which brought together representatives from public institutions, universities, the private sector, and civil society, the Artificial Intelligence Vision and Action Plan of Türkiye covering the 2026–2030 period was shared with the public. The plan, built on the axes of "Notice, Utilize, Produce, and Manage", encompasses data infrastructure, qualified human resources, domestic model development, and regulatory frameworks.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım's invitation to the summit is a result of his academic studies within the Department of Data Science and Analytics, as well as his domestic software development, project, training, and consultancy activities in the field of artificial intelligence, which he has been conducting under the umbrella of Karaman Technopark for the past four years. These activities also reflect our Department's primary approach to transforming academic knowledge into practice and domestic technology production.
In this period where data science and artificial intelligence are gaining increasing importance on a national scale, our Department continues its education, research, and application activities in these fields. We congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hasan Yıldırım and wish him continued success in his endeavors.
