The Academic Board Meeting of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Kâmil Özdağ Faculty of Science was held on October 9, 2026. Commencing with the esteemed presence of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gavgalı, the meeting featured a presentation by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Sedat Pak, regarding the faculty's academic activities. During the meeting, project statistics including TÜBİTAK/European Union projects, as well as the performances, targets, and achievement rates of our academic personnel, were shared.

Following the meeting, our Rector—alongside Dean Prof. Dr. Sedat Pak and faculty administrators—inspected the newly renovated computer laboratories and the water purification system on-site, following a commemorative group photo in front of the faculty building. We express our deepest gratitude to our Rector and Dean for their significant contributions to the comprehensive hardware renovation of both computer laboratories. Great care has been dedicated to renewing these labs, which will train future software developers, data scientists, and mathematicians. Our Rector also took a close interest in our students and engaged in conversations with them.

Visiting our faculty's administrative staff with a welcoming smile, our Rector then proceeded to the office of Dean Prof. Dr. Sedat Pak for detailed consultations. Honoring our faculty further, our Rector visited the Department of Mathematics, holding a brief discussion with the Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nimet Coşkun, concerning the department's activities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gavgalı, for his warm demeanor and for taking the time to listen to us, and we wish everyone a successful new academic term.
