In addition to the academic knowledge imparted in the undergraduate program,the program aims to create an atmosphere where there is an intensive exchange of ideas on scientific and academic issues between students and faculty members. The department adopts a student-centered educational approach and strives to create a respectful academic environment where students can freely express their opinions and share their personal comments. Students' English speaking and comprehension skills are developed; they are enabled to use the language fluently both orally and in writing. Interaction is encouraged between foreign students studying in the department and other language programs in the faculty and Turkish students, and the use of foreign languages is constantly supported and sustained.
