Physiotherapy Program

There is a Physiotherapy program within the scope of our Therapy and Rehabilitation department. Our programs are at the associate degree level. Our Physiotherapy Program was taken with three faculty members who are experts in the field and has not started accepting students yet. Our Physiotherapy program primarily aims to develop the qualified intermediate manpower required for public and private institutions. It also aims to provide the knowledge and skills required for the treatment of physical therapies in daily health expenses, to form the basis of clinical work by supporting education with practical applications and to provide the ability to do teamwork by using the information they have acquired in the application areas with communication skills. These objectives are presented in the courses given in the education, theoretical knowledge, superior talents and abilities, traditional and modern technological applications.

 

-Admission Requirements

It meets the achievement of being a high school graduate and the success recorded for the program in the entrance exam organized by the Student Measurement, Selection and Placement Center.

 

-Graduation Requirements

It is necessary to pass the compulsory and elective courses that include compulsory applications in the curriculum and to meet the conditions in accordance with the Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University Associate Degree, Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation.

 

-Employment Opportunities

They are employed as physiotherapy technicians in state and private hospitals, university hospitals, spa centers, nursing homes, private education centers, sports clubs.

Those who successfully complete all the procedures of the program receive the "Associate Degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation" degree.

Physiotherapy program graduates have the right to transfer to departments such as Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nursing and Health Management if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

A. Graduates of this program learn the title of "Physiotherapy Technician".

 

B. They are employed in public hospitals or private hospitals (without an exam) by receiving the title of Physiotherapy Technician according to the Public Personnel Selection Exam (KPSS). You can also work in Nursing Homes, SPA/thermal, Thermal Spring-cure Centers, and people in health tourism.

 

C. Considering that the demand for health services will increase with the increasing population, it proves that the consumption of durable goods in terms of health can grow. In order to provide better service after the provision of health services, there must be technicians who have received special training in the field of physiotherapy.

 

In addition to the need for trained technicians who will apply therapy to children and adults in hospitals, there has also been an increase in the need for physiotherapy technicians who have received training in this field in order to implement multidisciplinary health services with high quality. It is clear that the Physiotherapy Program will expand in order to meet this improvement. In addition, the public and private money increases that will provide services in the field of health with new investments will meet the employment of technicians who will graduate from this program.
