The primary function of the Department of Educational Sciences is to deliver courses in teacher education within the undergraduate programs of faculties of education, implement in-service training programs for administrators and teachers at primary, secondary, and high school levels, and conduct research in the field of education.
The Department of Educational Sciences comprises four main disciplines: Educational Programs and Teaching, Educational Administration, Measurement and Evaluation in Education, and Guidance and Psychological Counseling. Among these, only the Guidance and Psychological Counseling discipline offers an undergraduate program. Additionally, the Institute of Social Sciences offers Master's programs with thesis in Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Educational Administration, and Educational Programs and Teaching. The department employs a total of 17 academic staff, including 10 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors, and 1 Research Assistant.
