The Department of Turkish Language and Literature, which was opened with the decision taken at the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 19.11.2008, consists of the main branches of science of Modern Turkish Language, Modern Turkish Literature, Old Turkish Literature, Turkish Folk Literature and Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures.
